This series of weekly workshops is hosted by Callysto, a federally-funded program fostering data science skills (coding, data analysis and visualization) in classrooms across Canada.
About this session
Time: 4 - 5 pm (MT)
Audience: Grades 5-12 teachers
What are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning? What are their potential impacts on education and society? And how do we talk to students about all of this?
In this workshop, we will explore these definitions, and introduce participants to the potentials and pitfalls of using AI and related technologies.
This workshop will be presented by David Hay, Learning and Development Manager at Callysto.
Who can register
This online workshop is open to in-service and pre-service teachers.
About the weekly workshop
Callysto's weekly workshops will explain computational thinking and data science concepts, and review ways to incorporate them into K-12 curriculum. Every week, we will explore different topics ranging from artificial intelligence (AI) to running a data science hackathon with your students.
